Box of Kisses Crafts
- Purchase a paper heart-shaped box and craft paint from your local craft store. Fill the box with Hershey's Kisses and place the top on it. Dip your child's hand in the paint and imprint the handprint on the top of the box. If the handprint is too big to fit on the box, have your child make a flower out of fingerprints. If possible, have your child write "Happy Mother's Day" across the handprint or around the fingerprint flower. Don't worry about misspelled words; they'll increase the sentimental value of the gift.
- Buy blank white stickers. Have your child write down one reason why she loves a particular family member or friend on each sticker. Cover her lips with red or pink lipstick and have her kiss the center of each sticker. Place all of the stickers in a small gift box and wrap the box with Valentine's Day wrapping paper. Alternatively, decorate the box with hearts cut from construction paper.
- Instead of decorating your Christmas tree with candy canes, adorn it with small boxes of kisses for each family member and friend who will be visiting your home. Use the flat side of a Hershey's Kiss to trace small circles on a sheet of construction paper. Help your child come up with a selfless wish for each person and write each wish on a circle. Cut out the circles and tape each one to the bottom of a chocolate kiss. Place each kiss in a small jewelry box and wrap the boxes with gold or silver foil wrap. Tie a ribbon around each box and secure the ribbon with tape or glue. Place the boxes on the tree branches or attach ornament hooks to the ribbon to hang them up.
- Have your child blow kisses into a box. Put the lid on the box and wrap it or tie a ribbon around it. Attach a card and write "Filled with kisses from (child's name)" on it.
