How to Print in White on Clear Decal Paper
- 1). Design your decal on the computer. You can use an art program, such as Paint or Adobe Illustrator, if you want a picture or graphic design. If you simply want words or phrases, you can use a word processing program.
- 2). Set the type color to white, or make sure the design is white or has some white in it.
- 3). Find "Print" for your specific program. It is usually under the "File" tab on most programs. Make sure that your ALPS printer is the selected printer for this project.
- 4). Load one piece of decal paper into the printer at a time. Make sure that the shiny side of the paper is printed on, because that is the part with the plastic.
- 5). Allow the decal to dry for at least five minutes before trying to do anything with it. This will allow the ink to dry completely without danger of smudging or running.
- 6). Trim the decal close to the image before sticking it to your item. You don't want a lot of plastic overhang making your design look sloppy.
