    • 1). Begin by cutting and organizing your strings. Decide which color will be your background color and which will be the color of the turtles. Cut twelve strings to be the background. These will be referred to as "A" strings. Cut six for the turtles. These will be referred to as "B" strings.

    • 2). Order the colors in the following way: three A strings, six sets of one A string and one B string, and three A strings. Knot the top of the strings. Secure the top of the bracelet to a flat surface. Divide the strings into pairs. All of the knotting for the pattern will be done in pairs. Pair it in the following way: two A strings, six A and B pairs, and two A pairs.

    • 3). Using the basic knot, knot the first A string in the first A pair over the second A string to begin row one. Using the same knot, knot the A over the B in the second pair. Do the same in the third and fourth pair. In the fifth pair, knot the A over the B using a reverse basic knot. In the sixth and seventh pair, use the standard basic knot to knot the A over the B. In the last two, knot the first A over the second A using a basic knot.

    • 4). Complete row two by knotting the second A string from the first pair over the first A from the second pair. Knot the B string from the second pair over
