- 1). Call 1-800-MY-APPLE.
- 2). Locate your iPhone serial number under "Settings," "General" and then "About" on the iPhone, and provide it to the Apple iPhone technical adviser.
- 3). Request a new USB charging cable from the adviser.
- 4). Provide a credit or debit card number to the adviser. Apple will place a hold on your card for $19 until the old cable is returned.
- 5). Send back the old cable with the prepaid label included in the package with the new cable. The hold will be taken off your credit card once the cable is returned.
