Locating Controls on the iPod Wheel

• 1). Press the Menu button located at the top of the wheel. This displays the main menu from which you can choose between music, photos, videos, extras, settings and song shuffle.
  
  
• 2). Press the center button to make your music selections and to control settings.
  
  
• 3). Press the Play/Pause button on the bottom to begin playing a song or to pause a song that is currently playing.
  
  
• 4). Press the Previous/Rewind button on the left to go to the next song or rewind the current song.
  
  
• 5). Press the Next/Fast Forward button on the right to go to the next song or fast-forward the current song.
  
  

Locating Top and Bottom Controls

• 1). Inspect the top of your iPod. Note the controls: the Hold switch and the headphones/AV port.
  
  
• 2). Switch Hold to the "On" position when the device is not in use in order to preserve the life of your battery.
  
  
• 3). Plug your headphones or other audio/video accessories into the AV port.
  
  
• 4). Inspect the bottom of your iPod. Plug the recharging cable into this connector to keep your batteries charged up and ready to go.
