    • 1). Download PhoneView onto your Mac (see the Resources section for the complete link). PhoneView costs $19.95 (as of October 2010), but a demo version is available. Log on to the website, double-click the downloaded disk image, then click and drag PhoneView into your Applications folder.

    • 2). Click "Applications" on your Mac, and then double-click "PhoneView."

    • 3). Connect your iPad to your Mac via a USB cord.

    • 4). Navigate in Finder to the location of your iTunes library (typically click "Music" on the left in a Finder window).

    • 5). Select the folders from iTunes you want to transfer. Click and drag them into PhoneView. They will then begin copying to your iPad. This program does not allow you to transfer applications, only media.
