You can type in a message and then enlarge it so that it can be easily read. For example, if you're trying to communicate with someone across a crowded area, this app could come in handy. IZoom

• IZoom makes it possible to read small text on other items outside of the iPhone. It's basically like using a magnifying glass. You hold the iPhone camera up to an item that you want to zoom in on and it enlarges the image for you. BIG Contacts

• The BIG Contacts app makes it possible for those with poor eyesight to read their contact lists. Instead of the relatively small text that you find on your iPhone contacts list, these contacts are displayed in a much bigger font. When you select a contact, the app also presents all of the information in a much bigger format that's easy to read. As of August 2011, this application costs $0.99.
