    • 1). Thread a 30-inch piece of thread through the needle.

    • 2). String one bead through the needle to 4 inches from the end of the thread. Tie the bead onto the thread with a strong knot. This is the first bead in your first row.

    • 3). String more beads onto the thread to create the first row. Use an even number of beads. Match the final length of this row to the height of the dread sleeve.

    • 4). String one more bead onto the thread to begin the second row.

    • 5). Weave the rows together by sticking the needle through the hole of the second bead in the first row, skipping the first bead in the first row. Pull thread taut.

    • 6). Continue the second row by stringing another bead, skipping the third bead in the first row, and then weaving the needle through the fourth bead in the first row. Repeat this until the row is finished, with half the number of beads that you strung for the first row.

    • 7). Rotate the weaving 180 degrees so the needle and thread are now on your right side.

    • 8). String one bead onto the thread to begin the third row.

    • 9). Weave the third row to the second by sticking the needle through the hole of the first bead in the second row. Pull thread taut.

Finish the row by stringing a bead and then sticking the needle through the bead of the previous row.

Continue weaving rows until the size you want is achieved.

Close the sleeve by weaving the thread through the extruding beads in the first and last rows. Tie the ending thread with the beginning thread into a knot and trim with scissors.
