Hi there. This is Mo of Mo West Creations. Today, I'm going to show you how to shrink a shirt at the waist. So I have this T-shirt and I want it to be more fitted. So the first thing I did was tried it on inside out and then put a safety pin where I want it to specifically be tighter. So now what I'm going to do is take it to my sewing machine and just stitch that much all the way along the edge. Now if part of the shirt fits well and part of it's too tight like if you only want to shrink the waist then what you want to do is start sewing on this existing seam, probably up around the armpit and then ease it out to that waist point and down but I'm just going to go straight from the top of the sleeve all the way down about one inch. So you can switch out your safety pin for straight pins if you want. I'm going to use a serger so I can't really pin for that. I'll be right back. So here we have it. The serger cuts as it sews but if you used a regular sewing machine or stitched it by hand you want to cut off your excess then and then you can use that to measure your other side so that they are the same and you can either mark it with a pen or a pencil or with pens and then you want to really make sure when you are doing this that your side seam is smooth and to the edge. You don't want any of this happening. And there you have it, a custom tailored shirt. This has been Mo of Mo West Creations, showing you how to shrink the waist of your shirt. Chow.
