    • 1). Press the "Home" button on the iPhone below the display.

    • 2). Touch and hold an app's icon until it and the other icons start jigging. This activates the icons, so you can move them around and put them in folders.

    • 3). Touch an app's icon and drag it onto the icon of another app to automatically make a new folder that contains both apps. The iPhone gives the new folder a name based on the types of apps, such as "Productivity."

    • 4). Tap the name of the folder in the text box that spans the iPhone's screen, and type a new name for it if you don't want to use the folder's initial name. Tap "Done." The two jiggling app icons appear below the text box, and the icon of the new folder appears above the text box. Tap the icon of the folder to return to the home screen, where the icons are still jiggling.

    • 5). Touch another app icon and drag it into the new folder. Each folder can store 12 app icons. Every screen on the iPhone can contain 16 app icons or folders. The iPhone can have up to 11 screens. Flick your finger to the right against the display to scroll to the next screen. You might have the "Productivity" folder on the first screen, and two productivity apps on the third screen. Scroll to the third screen, and then touch one of the productivity app icons; drag it to the left to move it to the first screen, where you can drag it onto the "Productivity" folder.

    • 6). Tap a folder to open it. Touch an app inside a folder and drag it outside of the folder if you want to put it back on the home screen. If you remove all the icons from a folder, the folder disappears.

    • 7). Touch a jiggling folder if you want to move it, and then drag it up, down, left or right to reposition it on a screen. Drag a folder to the right or left edge of the iPhone's display to move the folder to a different screen. If the iPhone has five screens, you can create a new screen by touching an icon or an app on the fifth screen and dragging it to the right. The iPhone makes a new screen automatically to accommodate the item you dragged.

    • 8). Press the "Home" button to stop the app icons and folders from jiggling.
