How to Print on Vellum Using a Canon Printer
- 1). Determine whether or not your printer is an inkjet or a laser printer. Check the paper packaging and make sure you select the appropriate vellum for your machine.
- 2). Insert the paper into your printer's feed tray. Open the image you wish to print and click the "Print" button within the application you are printing from.
- 3). When you get the print options box, select the following settings:
Paper size: choose that size that matches your vellum
Color: choose black and white or color, depending on your image
Print quality: If available, choose "Transparency." Otherwise, set the quality to "Low" or "Draft." - 4). Preview the print job to make sure it is placed on the page the way you'd prefer. Hit "Print."
- 5). Let the ink dry for about a minute before touching it, to avoid smearing. Check the printout and adjust the print settings if you are unhappy with the results. If it is smeared or the colors are bleeding together, select a lower-quality print and print again. If the coverage is too light, select a higher-quality print and print again. Repeat until your are pleased with the results.
