    • 1). Gently clean the tiles using a soft-bristled brush and bathroom tile cleaner. Spray the tiles and rub them down in a circular motion. Get as much grime out of the grout lines as possible.

    • 2). Mix together ¾ cup of baking soda and ¼ cup of bleach in a mixing bowl. Wear protective gloves to keep bleach from touching the skin, and wear a mask to avoid breathing harmful fumes. If you have colored grout or tile, omit the bleach, since it will lighten the color. Instead, mix 3 cups of baking soda with 1 cup of water.

    • 3). Spread the baking soda mixture onto the grout lines and allow to sit for 20 minutes. Brush, if needed, with an old toothbrush to get up any remaining dirt or mildew stains.

    • 4). Mop the entire floor with water to remove the baking soda mixture. Allow the tile to dry for at least 2 hours before beginning the glazing treatment.

    • 5). Apply the glaze to the entire floor with a paint roller. Make sure to get a uniform layer over all tile and grout. Allow the glaze to dry and harden at least 24 hours before walking on it after a bath or shower to ensure protection to the tile.
