    • 1). Choose six small silver cowbells. Select small bells that can be moved by a gentle breeze.

    • 2). Attach strands of fishing line to each of the bells. Cut the strands twice as long as you think you may need so you can adjust them later if you have estimated incorrectly. Choose whatever length you would like them to be. You need enough line to double-knot securely to the bells as well as tie to the craft ring.

    • 3). Cut two strands of fishing line equal to the diameter of the craft ring plus 6 inches. Crisscross the strands across the center of the ring, tying double knots at the north, south, east and west points of the ring. This will be the cross hanger by which the wind chime will be held and displayed. Clip an S hook to the center point so you can hang the wind chime.

    • 4). Tie one end of the fishing line holding a bell to the top of the ring. Knot it to the ring with a double knot. Repeat this for all six lines holding bells. Space them out 1/2 inch to 3 inches apart around the ring.

    • 5). Hang the wind chime by a window or outside of your home.
