How to Make a Paper T-Shirt
- 1). Lay your paper on the table so you are closest to one of the shorter sides. Fold it in half widthwise so the edges of the two long sides meet. Crease the paper. Then unfold. Now fold the long edges in to meet the crease line. One edge will be on either side of it, so they meet in the middle of the bill. There should be no gap between the edges.
- 2). Flip the paper over so the edges you just used are now face down. Measure an eighth of an inch down from the top edge and make a crease, folding the paper toward you. If you're using a dollar, fold exactly where the light green meets the dark green.
- 3). Flip the paper over like you did in Step 2. Measure a quarter-inch from the top of the paper and put a pencil dot on the center of your paper at this point. Fold both of the top corners toward the center so they touch this point exactly. Crease. Now you have your shirt collar.
- 4). Measure up 2 inches from the bottom of your paper. Fold the paper up toward the front of the collar at this point. Make sure your fold is straight across. Repeat. Tuck your second crease under the shirt's collar. If it doesn't fit exactly, take out the last two folds and try again. Now you have the basic shirt. It's time to make the sleeves.
- 5). Take out both of the folds you made in Step 4. You just need the creases. Also unfold the edges of the paper all the way up until you get to the collar so you have the full width of the dollar to work with. Pinch the edge of the left side of your paper half an inch from the bottom of the paper and push it in toward the center at a 45-degree angle so that it juts out at a point. Do the same for the right side. Try to make the sleeves even. (If you're having trouble making these folds right, click on the link in the resources section for pictures.)
- 6). Redo the folds you did in Step 4. It's easy now since you already have the crease lines.
