How to Accessorize a Teddy Bear
- 1). Identify a few key themes - farmer Teddy, ballet Teddy, rock 'n' roll Teddy - to keep yourself from spinning out of control.
- 2). Make a place for each one - a small paper bag will do. This way, every time you find something, you'll have a place to put it.
- 3). Keep an eye out for anything diminutive - tiny baskets given out as baby shower favors, miniature kitchen implements, baby clothes and shoes at flea markets, and doll clothes at garage sales.
- 4). Make a tiny duplicate of anything you make for your child. It doesn't have to be complicated - with a bit of brown paper and some masking tape, you can make a lunch bag; with a white paper bag and some scissors, you can make Teddy a ghost costume.
- 5). Ask all your friends and co-workers to let you have first dibs on their miniatures - you'll be amazed what people collect, especially during the holiday season.
