- 1). Mix equal parts bleach and water in a garden sprayer.
- 2). Spray 3 foot by 10 foot sections of the roof with the garden sprayer.
- 3). Scrub the wet areas using a soft-bristled brush to remove any moss and algae from the roof. Spray the area with the bleach and water solution again to remove any remaining material.
- 4). Spray the roof with fresh water from a hose to remove the bleach and prevent discoloration of the roof.
