How to Paint Scalloped Garden Borders on Cement
- 1). Wash the cement walkway or wall the day before with a garden hose. You want to remove debris and dirt from the surface. The surface must be completely dry before you can paint it.
- 2). Place the scallop stencil on the cement surface. Use duct tape to hold it in place.
- 3). Nestle a drop cloth in front of the stencil. You can sit on this. The drop cloth also will catch stray paint.
- 4). Open, mix and pour the paint into a paint tray. Cover the roller brush with paint by dipping it in the tray. Make sure the roller brush is covered with paint but not dripping.
- 5). Roll the paint over the scalloped stencil. Allow the paint to dry before removing the stencil.
