How to Use Tide for Roof Moss
- 1). Climb to the roof with a ladder, hoisting a bucket of powdered Tide with bleach and placing it securely on the roof.
- 2). Sprinkle powdered Tide over the moss and allow it to go to work. It could take one to two days before the moss begins to brown and die.
- 3). Scrape brown, dead moss off of the roof with a plastic scraping tool. Scrape gently to avoid pulling off tiles or shingles. Make sure the moss is dead before scraping, as dead moss will be easier to remove.
- 4). Remove all traces of moss to keep it from regrowing.
- 5). Rinse clean by pouring buckets of water over the rooftop.
