    Bracelet

    • Make a friendship bracelet from a colored ribbon and letter beads. Buy seven beads with letters on them that spell out the word "friends." The hole in the center of the beads should be just large enough to thread a narrow ribbon through.Take a length of narrow ribbon and tie a knot in it about 3 inches from one end. Thread on the "F" bead, from the opposite end of the ribbon from the knot, push it up till it meets the knot and tie another knot to secure it in place. Repeat until you've secured all the letters on the ribbon. Snip the ribbon 3 inches from the final knot. Place the ribbon around your friend's wrist and tie in a bow to secure.

    Photo Frame

    • Decorate a plain photo frame with ribbons and place a picture of you and your friend together to give as a gift. Cut four lengths of ribbon the same lengths as each side of a plain card or wooden picture frame and glue over the frame with craft glue. The ribbons will overlap at the corners but this will be disguised with bows. Tie four bows in a contrasting color of ribbon and glue one on each corner of the frame. Use small beads or sequins to spell out the letters of you and your friend's names along the edge of the frame and glue in place with craft glue.

    Book Mark

    • Cut a strip of stiff colored card stock approximately 2 inches wide and 6 inches long. Write a short poem or quote about friendship on the card. Punch a hole near the top of the card, half way across, and thread three different colored narrow ribbons through the hole. Knot each ribbon around the hole to secure in place. The ribbons will hang out of the closed book making it easy to find the mark when it is closed.

    Badge

    • Create a simple ribbon bow badge to give your friend. Tie a large bow in a broad ribbon of a color your friend will like. Thread two letter beads, one with your first name initial and one with your friend's first initial onto a narrow piece of ribbon and tie this round the center of the bow so the two beads are at the front. Knot the narrow ribbon at the back of the bow and trim the ends. Place a small dot of craft glue under each beat at the front to help secure it in place. Use a safety pin to attach the bow to your friend's jacket or bag.
