Beach Towel Tote Directions
- 1). Cut a 10-foot length of cotton webbing. Butt the ends of the webbing together to form a large loop, and zigzag across the join to secure the ends together. Make sure that the webbing is not twisted before sewing the ends together.
- 2). Lay the beach towel wrong side up on a firm surface, with the length of the towel running horizontally in front of you. Smooth the towel flat.
- 3). Grasp one end and fold over one-third of the towel, and smooth. Grab the other end and fold over one-third of the towel, and smooth. Carefully turn the folded towel over.
- 4). Lay the cotton-webbing loop across the towel, parallel to the folded edges. Adjust the loop of webbing so that the sewn join is in the center of the towel, the webbing runs parallel with the folds four inches from the folded edges, and the curves in the loop extend equally from both sides of the towel to form handles. Pin the webbing in place through the top layer of the towel only.
- 5). Unfold the towel. Sew atop both lines of webbing with a zigzag stitch, from one edge of the towel to the other edge, to attach the webbing securely to the towel. Sew across the width of the webbing at the towel's edge to reinforce the handles.
- 6). Lay the towel flat with the webbing side down and place your items in the center of the towel. Fold both ends of the towel over your items, and then grab both handles and pick up your beach towel tote.
