Removing Candle Wax Residue from Ceramic Tile
- 1). Fill a plastic bag with enough ice to cover the candle wax. Close the bag with a twist tie.
- 2). Center the bag of ice on the candle wax. Leave the ice on the tile floor for a full minute to freeze the ice. Frozen ice breaks and chips off.
- 3). Scrape the candle wax off the ceramic tile floor with a card squeegee. Begin at one edge and slowly scrape off all the wax. Work gently to avoid scratching the ceramic tiles.
- 4). Direct the removed wax into a dustpan with a whisk broom or the edge of the scraper.
- 5). Throw the wax bits in the trash immediately to avoid stepping on bits of wax.
- 6). Pour a cup of warm water into a plastic tub and mix in 1 tbsp. of white vinegar.
- 7). Dip a rag into the vinegar water. Rub the entire area of the ceramic tile floor where the candle wax spilled with the vinegar water.
- 8). Allow the vinegar water to sit on the wax residue for 10 minutes. Wipe away the wax residue. Repeat the vinegar water washing if needed to remove any remaining wax.
