How to Make an Eyelet Row on a Scarf
- 1). Cast on and knit your scarf in any stitch pattern you want until you finish the row before the eyelet row.
- 2). Knit the first stitch. Then bring the yarn forward between the needles and pull it backwards over the right needle, making an extra "stitch" on that needle. This is the yarn over.
- 3). Knit the next two stitches together by inserting the right needle into the next two stitches on the left needle and knitting the as if they were one stitch. This forms a little hole. When you knit several of these holes in a row, it becomes an eyelet stitch.
- 4). Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the rest of the row.
- 5). Finish your scarf in the same pattern you knitted before the eyelet row.
