How to Make a Knot for a Card
- 1). Cut a 3-inch-by-3-inch piece of card stock.
- 2). Cut an 8-inch piece of ribbon.
- 3). Place the ribbon horizontally on a flat work surface and place the piece of card stock centered on top of the ribbon.
- 4). Bring the two ends of the ribbon up and around the piece of card stock so they meet together in the center of the piece of card stock.
- 5). Tie a simple knot with the ribbon by crossing the right end of the ribbon over the left end of the ribbon and pulling it taut.
- 6). Place your finger on top of the first half of the knot and repeat by crossing the right end of the ribbon over the left end of the ribbon again. Before pulling the knot tight, adjust and neaten the knot so that it lies flat. Pull the knot as tight you desire.
- 7). Trim the ends of the ribbon to the length desired by clipping the ends at an angle.
- 8). Glue this knotted piece of card stock onto your card as an attractive embellishment.
