    • 1). Verify that your computer is running the latest version of iTunes. Click "Help," then click "Check for Updates."

    • 2). Remove all USB devices from your computer. If your keyboard and mouse connect through a USB cable, both can be left in place.

    • 3). Connect your Touch to a rear USB port on your computer using the iPod docking cable.

    • 4). Reboot your computer.

    • 5). Launch iTunes and select the option to restore your iPod Touch. Once the restoration is complete, the iPod will no longer be in Recovery Mode.
