How to Patch Concrete Floors
- 1). Use your chisel and hammer to chip away any loose concrete or gravel. Remove and dispose of the chipped away concrete.
- 2). Sweep the holes with a wire brush to remove any debris or dust. This will give the patching compound a solid surface to adhere to and will provide better results.
- 3). Blend concrete mix and water in a bucket. This can be done with a simple stirring stick. Slowly add water until the mixture resembles a thick paste, like peanut butter.
- 4). Apply a 1/4" layer of concrete to each hole using your trowel. Allow one hour for this layer to dry, then repeat the process until the holes are level with the rest of the surface.
- 5). Use your caulk gun to shoot latex concrete caulk into any remaining cracks. Fill each crack completely, then wipe away any excess caulk using your trowel.
