- 1). Launch Apple's free iTunes application on your computer. You use iTunes to play audio files and manage your iPod Touch.
- 2). Connect your iPod Touch to a USB port on your computer with the iPod Touch's USB cable.
- 3). Click "File" from the iTunes menu, and then click "Transfer Purchases from (name of) iPod." The audiobooks you purchased from Apple's iTunes Store and downloaded directly to the iPod Touch copy over to your computer through the USB cable.
- 4). Click "Books" under "Library" in the left side of the iTunes window to see the audiobooks that you copied over. You can also click "Purchased on (name of) iPod under "Store" in the left side of the iTunes window to see transferred audiobooks.
- 5). Click the "Eject" button next to the icon of your iPod Touch under "Devices" in the left side of the iTunes window, and then unplug your device from the computer.
