How to Remove a Sour Milk Smell
- 1). Blot the spilled milk up immediately with paper towels. Soak a clean cloth in running water and apply it to the spill to rinse as much of the milk out as possible. Blot with a clean cloth or paper towels to remove excess water.
- 2). Spray the area with an enzymatic cleaner designed to remove urine and pet odors. Spray the area thoroughly, especially if it is an old stain. Lift up carpets and spray the carpet pad as well.
- 3). Wait 24 hours. Blot up any remaining liquid with a clean cloth.
