    • 1). Measure and cut two pieces of embroidery floss, one that is 2 feet long and the other 7 feet long. The smaller piece is called the filler strand, and the other piece is the knotting strand.

    • 2). Fold both strands in half. Tie a single knot below the top middle of the filler strand that is just large enough to fit around your pony bead.

    • 3). Cut a strip of duct tape, place it over the loop and affix the strands to your work space.

    • 4). Tie the middle section of the knotting cord in a single knot around the top of the filler cord (just below the bottom of the loop.)

    • 5). Separate the four strands so the two filler cords are positioned in the middle and the knotting cords are on the outer left- and right-hand sides.

    • 6). Lift the left knotting strand over the two filler cords and under the right strand. Place the right knotting strand under the two filler cords and through the loop formed by the left knotting strand. Pull each of the knotting strands firmly to create a tight knot. Repeat this technique until you have knotted the desired length of bracelet.

    • 7). Thread the bead onto the bottom of the four strands and push it up to the bottom of the last square knot. Tie the strands around themselves in a double knot to securely hold the bead in place. Use more knots if the bead has an extra large hole.

    • 8). Trim off any excess embroidery floss after the knot with the scissors. Remove the duct tape from the top of the bracelet.
