How to Download a Library Onto an iPhone
- 1). Connect the iPhone to the computer. Use the special USB cable included with your iPhone to connect it to the USB port on the front, side or back of your computer. iTunes will open automatically. If you need a new copy of iTunes, you can download and install it from the Apple website.
- 2). Click on your device to select it. Use the mouse to select your iPhone from the sidebar in iTunes. This will open the syncing options and device information tabs in the main iTunes window.
- 3). Click the tabs to choose your libraries. If you want to download your music library, click on the Music tab and choose the libraries or files that you want to transfer to the iPhone. You can opt to download the whole music library or only selected files or folders. Once you make your selection, you will not need to select it again unless you want to change it. You can perform the same steps with the "Pictures," "Movies" and other tabs.
- 4). Click "Apply" to start the syncing process. This will transfer the libraries to your iPhone. Once the syncing is complete, click the small arrow next to your iPhone's device name to safely eject it from your computer. You can now disconnect the USB cable from the phone and computer.
