How to Put a Playlist on an iPod
- 1). Tap on the "Playlists" app or the "Music" app, from which you can find the Playlist menu. Tap on "Add Playlist."
- 2). Type in a name for your new playlist and tap on "Save." Make sure the name is relevant to the list you're making, to prevent any confusion.
- 3). Browse through the media library using the buttons at the bottom of the screen to find the songs you wish to add. Tap each one individually to add it to the list, or tap "Add All Songs" at the top of any list of songs to all songs from that list.
- 4). Tap "Done" when finished. To back up this playlist and have it available on iTunes, sync your iPod to the computer using iTunes.
- 1). Tap on "Playlists" from the home screen.
- 2). Scroll down on the Playlist menu and tap "Add."
- 3). Tap a category, such as "Songs" or "Albums." Tap the items you wish to add to the list. Swipe left to return to the Categories section so you can add items from other categories.
- 4). Tap "Done" when you are finished to save the playlist. It will be saved as "New Playlist 1" if it is the only new playlist, or "New Playlist 2" if there is already one, and so forth. When you next sync your iPod Nano with iTunes, you'll be able to change the playlist name to whatever you'd prefer, which will be updated on the next sync.
- 1). Connect your iPod to the computer, and start "iTunes."
- 2). Go to the iTunes library. Click the "+" button on the bottom left of the library window. This places a new "Untitled playlist" in the source column on the left side of the window.
- 3). Rename the playlist to something appropriate for the files that will be in it ("Jazz" or "Aerosmith," for example). Click the "Library" listing. Use it to scroll through the library. Drag and drop songs as desired onto the listing for the new playlist, which adds the song to the playlist.
- 4). Back out to the main iTunes screen and go to the "Device" list. Select your iPod model -- iPod Touch, iPod Classic, iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle -- from the list.
- 5). Click on the "Music" tab and then select "Sync Music," followed by "Selected playlists, artists, genres and albums." Select the playlist. Click "Apply" to sync the playlist and associated songs onto your iPod.
