How to Reset the New iPhone 4
- 1). Connect the iPhone 4 to the computer by placing one end of its USB cord into the computer's USB port and the other end into the iPhone 4's USB port. The iTunes application should open upon connection; if not, double-click its icon to open it.
- 2). Click the "Summary" tab for the iPhone 4 and click "Restore."
- 3). Select between "Back Up" or "Don't Back Up." If you choose "Back Up," iTunes backs up your files prior to the phone reset. If you select "Don't Back Up," your iPhone 4 resets to factory defaults and all data is deleted.
