- 1). Connect the iPod to your computer using the USB cable.
- 2). Click the iPod's icon from the "Devices" menu, found at the left side of the iTunes screen once iTunes recognizes the device.
- 3). Click the "Summary" tab at the top of the window.
- 4). Click, or check, the box next to "Enable Disk Use" in the "Options" section at the bottom of the screen.
- 5). Open the iPod as a hard drive by locating its icon on the desktop of the computer.
- 6). Drag the desired files into the iPod window you opened to import them to the iPod's hard drive. They can be stored there, or copied to other hard drives, as your needs arise.
