How to Make Bracelets for Watches
- 1). Wrap measuring tape around your wrist to measure the correct length for making the bracelet to your watch. Add about 3 extra inches to the measurements that you took for your wrist. This will provide additional room for your wrist and the clasps.
- 2). Cut the beading cord the same length as the measurements you took for your wrist and the added 3 inches.
- 3). Add beads of your choice onto the cord. Leave about an inch of cord visible on each side.
- 4). Attach a bead stopper on one end of the cord to prevent the beads from sliding off while working with the other end.
- 5). String a crimp bead and a lobster claw clasp in that order to the open end of the cord. Bring the cord around the claw and loop right back through the crimp bead.
- 6). Crimp the bead shut with the crimping tool to tighten and to hold the cord in place. Remove the bead stopper from the other end of the cord and repeat steps 5 and 6.
- 7). Open the lobster claw on the end of the bracelet and attach to the handle of one side of the watch. Wrap the bracelet around your wrist and attach the lobster clasp on the other side of the bracelet to the other end of the watch.
