How to Add Songs to an iPod Through LimeWire

    • 1). Click "Start" on your Windows PC taskbar and click "Programs," "LimeWire" and "LimeWire." For Macintosh computers open your Applications folder in Finder and double-click the "LimeWire" icon to run the program.

    • 2). Click "Start" on your PC's taskbar, and select "Programs," "Apple" and "iTunes" to run the iTunes program. On Macs, click the "iTunes" icon on your screen's dock.

    • 3). Click the "My Files" icon at the top of the LimeWire program window, and click the "Configure" button in the iTunes section of the LimeWire settings window.

    • 4). Check the box next to "Add audio files I downloaded from LimeWire to iTunes" and uncheck the box next to "Share audio and video files in Public Shared list on my local network with iTunes." Click "OK" to save the changes, and click the "OK" button on the main LimeWire settings window.

    • 5). Plug the iPod cable into the dock connector located on the bottom of your iPod, and plug the other end of the cable into your computer's USB port.

    • 6). Click the "iPod" tab in the iTunes sidebar, and click the "Music" tab in the main iTunes window. Check the box next to "Sync Music" and select either "Entire music library" or "Selected playlists, artists and genres." If you selected the latter option, check the box next to "LimeWire" to sync the LimeWire playlist to your iPod.

    • 7). Click the "Apply" button in the lower-right corner of the iTunes program window, and disconnect the device once the "iPod sync is complete" message appears on-screen.
