How to Make a Paper Plate Fish
- 1). Cut a pizza slice shape out of one side of your paper plate. This will create a mouth for your fish, and will give you a piece of paper plate to use as your fish's tail.
- 2). Glue the pointed end of pizza shape you just cut out to the back of the paper plate. You should glue this piece of paper plate on the opposite end of the paper plate from the mouth. This will make a tail for your paper plate fish.
- 3). Use scissors to cut a small 2- or 3-inch circle out of any color construction paper that you like. The little circle will form a small fish that will hang in the larger fish's mouth.
- 4). Make another pizza slice shape cut on one side of the small circle that you just cut out, and glue the pizza slice shape to the back of the small circle to make the tail of the smaller fish.
- 5). Attach one end of a small 1- or 2-inch piece of yarn with glue to the back of the paper plate, and let it hang down into the larger fish's mouth. Attach the other end with glue to the back of the little fish. The little fish should now be hanging from the large fish's mouth.
- 6). Dab dots of glue all over the body and tail of the large fish, and press pieces of elbow macaroni into the dots of glue to form scales on your large fish.
- 7). Paint the elbow macaroni to give your fish colored scales. You can paint them all one color or make them several different colors.
- 8). Apply a large wiggly craft eye to the large fish's face above the mouth, and a small wiggly craft eye to the small fish's face. If you do not have wiggly craft eyes, you can use black paint to make the eyes of the fish. Visit the Resources section below for more fish crafts.
