How to Create & Print Free Cards
- 1). If you own a computer with word processing software, you can create your own greeting cards. Open your software and click on "New." Click on the "templates" option. There should be a section for greeting cards. You can select one of the cards to download the template. If you don't like the templates readily available in your software, the Microsoft Office website contains more greeting card templates you can download if you have compatible software.
- 2). Make changes to create a more personalized card. Address the card to the person you're sending it to. You also might want to change the text or the font style. You can do this by highlighting the text with your mouse and typing over it, or selecting a new font. If you would like, insert your own pictures or notes into empty space in the cards to add a more personalized touch to the card. To insert a picture, select the area on the card you would like to place the picture. Click on "Insert" and then "Picture." Find a picture on your computer you would like to add to your card. Once the picture is on the card, you can adjust its size and location with the photo toolbar on your software.
- 3). Print out your cards and fold them.
- 4). Another option is to find free cards to print online. Many websites require a subscription to print cards, but there are a few, such as Print Free and Greetings Island, that don't require a paid subscription to personalize and print cards. These sites have cards for all occasions and are customizable.
