How to Make an Origami Heart From a Dollar Bill

    • 1). Fold the dollar bill in half lengthwise. Make a crease. Unfold the dollar bill and fold the left side inward and in half so it meets at the center crease line. Repeat on the right side.

    • 2). Turn the dollar bill over. Fold the bottom left corner inward at an angle. Repeat on the right side so that both bottom corners are folded inward. This fold creates the bottom of the heart, and the angle is up to you as is the width.

    • 3). Fold the top edges inward, but only a very small amount. Do both sides. Flip the dollar bill over. Fold the top inside flap inward at a slight angle. Repeat on both sides so you have the inside curves of the top of the heart.

    • 4). Flip over the heart and open up the flaps on the top and bottom corners and push them inward. Push down on the corners and crease the lines. Flip over, then tuck in the top edges of the heart curve where the white line on the dollar bill is. Fold down the back layer of the heart and tuck in so it is hidden.

    • 5). Hold the heart down and crease the edges to make it lay flat. If necessary, place a heavy flat object on it, like a book, and let it set for a few hours so it will be completely level.
