How to Make an Origami Zump
- 1). Cut a standard piece of notebook or print paper in half horizontally.
- 2). Crease vertically one of the paper halves along the center.
- 3). Fold the top two corners of paper inward to meet at the long vertical crease.
- 4). Use the lower creases of the top folds where they meet the left and right edges of the paper, as the points in an axis. Fold the top of the paper down toward the center along that axis.
- 5). Fold the two corners of the top of the paper backward along their original crease to the top center of the paper.
- 6). Fold the two original top corners of the paper downward so that the edge of the top of the paper is flush with the downward triangle.
- 7). Pull the top center of the paper toward you while folding the left and right sides of the paper in half by folding them toward you.
- 8). Fold both wings downward to create an airplane wing shape.
- 9). Divide the triangle in the middle of the zump outward over the wings.
- 10
Fold the tips of the wings upward to create stabilizer flaps. - 11
Make slight alterations among any of these steps to create an original zump. Changes earlier in the process will result in a more dramatically different final product, while changes later in the process will result in less noticeable differences.
