    • 1). Click "Start," "Control panel."

    • 2). Click "System and Maintenance," "Device Manager." You may be prompted for an administrative password. The Device Manager opens in a new window.

    • 3). Click on "Display Adapters" to expand this heading.

    • 4). Right-click on your video card underneath the expanded "Display Adapters" heading. If you see more than one label, then you have multiple graphics cards and you'll need to update drivers for each.

    • 5). Click "Update Driver Software." Your computer automatically scans the current video drivers, detecting any errors and searching for online updates. If glitches are found or if a newer version exists, your drivers are automatically reinstalled using the most up-to-date software.
