- 1). Press "Windows"+"R." This will launch the "Run" utility.
- 2). Type "dfrgui.exe" in the dialog box and press "Enter." This will open the Disk Defragmenter.
- 3). Ensure that there is not a check beside the option "Run on a schedule (recommended)." Click "OK" to confirm the changes. This disables the automatic scheduling of Disk Defragmenter.
