- 1). Turn on your Slingbox and your television set. In your Slingbox's main menu, select the "Windows Media Center" option. An eight-digit "Setup Key" will display on your TV screen. Write down or memorize this setup key.
- 2). Click "Start" and "All Programs."
- 3). Click the icon for "Windows Media Center." From the program's menu, select "Tasks" and then "Add Extender." Click "Next." You will be prompted to enter a setup key from your Slingbox into Windows Media Center.
- 4). Type your setup key into the Windows Media Center prompt. Click "Next."
- 5). Click "Finish." Your Slingbox is now set up to communicate with Windows Media Center over your home network.
