Cedar Post Crafts
- Secure a cedar post by burying at least a foot of one end in the ground and packing the soil around it tightly. "Dress" the post as a snowman by spray-painting the base with a white or glitter white spray paint. Use a glue gun to add black buttons down the front, a felt top hat, plastic "coal" eyes and a hand-painted carrot nose and smile. Finish by tying a colorful scarf around the snowman's neck.
- Secure a cedar post by burying at least a foot of one end in the ground and packing the soil around it tightly. Spray-paint the post with a deep brown paint and use a glue gun to add black button eyes and a red plastic ball for a nose. Hand-paint a mouth. Collect tree branches that resemble the shape of antlers and secure them to each side of the head. You can do this by drilling holes into each side of the cedar post, filling the cavity with wood glue and securing the branches.
The post can be changed regularly to reflect seasonal holidays, such as Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day and the like.
