- 1). Measure 4 inches down on the condensate pipe exiting the furnace or AC unit and make a 90 degree turn.
- 2). Measure across 1 to 3 inches to make the bottom of the trap then bend the pipe 90 degrees upward.
- 3). Measure two inches up and turn the pipe 90 degrees so it is level with the ground again. This pipe then travels to the discharge point.
