Video: A Homemade Makeup Counter Organizer
Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Linda Hutchinson of L. Hutchinson Designs. Today, I'm going to show you how you can make a makeup counter organizer. I'm making one out of a recycled tin can. And some duct tape, and I'm also going to be using some scissors. You can rip the duct tape but I find you get a much neater edge if you cut it. So I'm just going to take some duct tape and wrap it around the top and bottom edges of the can. You want to try to alleviate any of the air bubbles as you work it around the can. If you get some you can just peel it back a little bit and start from that point. It's pretty easy to work with. Once you get it to overlap you just want to trim that off. And again I'm going to do the same thing on the bottom of the can. You can use any color combination that works with your bathroom or bedroom, wherever it is that you keep your makeup supplies. Or vanity, any kind of surface that is your makeup counter. Then I'm going to take this patterned tape and put a little accent around the middle of the can. These colors match my bedroom which is where I keep my makeup on my dresser. But whatever your preference is there are all kinds of tapes available. All kinds of colors and prints nowadays. You can get them at home stores like home improvement stores, craft stores, even dollar stores. And once you trim this off you have a pretty little organizer. So when you're looking for your cosmetic brushes they're nice and neat like this. You don't have to go scrambling for them in the bottom of the makeup drawer anymore and it keeps them nice and organized. My name is Linda Hutchinson and thank you so much for joining me. Bye bye.
