- 1). Connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC's USB port via the USB cable.
- 2). Open iTunes and select the name of your device in the iTunes window.
- 3). Click the "Check for Update" button in the iPhone's preferences window and click "Download and Install."
- 4). Click "Next" in the iPhone Setup Assistant, click "Agree" and click "Next" to install the software onto your iPhone.
- 5). Click "Done" in the installation window to exit and click "Eject" on the iPhone's tab to disconnect the iPhone.
