How to Get Ipx/Spx on Windows Vista
- 1). Download the IPX/SPX Network Protocol and save the file on your hard drive.
- 2). Double-click the downloaded "IPX-SPX.zip" file and extract the contents to the root directory of your hard drive.
- 3). Click the "Start" button, then click "Control Panel." Click "Network and Internet," then click "Network and Sharing Center." Click "Manage Network Connections."
- 4). Right-click the Local Area Connection icon and choose "Properties."
- 5). Click the "Install" or "Add..." button. Click "Have Disk."
- 6). Type "x:\windows\inf\" where "x" is the letter assigned to your hard drive, and click "OK."
- 7). Select the "NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS" option from the network protocol list and click "OK." Vista will display a message indicating that the publisher could not be verified.
- 8). Click "Install" to install the IPX/SPX network protocol. After installation, the protocol will display in the Local Area Connection Properties window.
