How to Make a Ceramic Bracelet
- 1). Measure the circumference of your wrist using a tape measure.
- 2). Add 6 inches to the circumference to calculate the length of the beading wire. This is for attaching the crimp covers, jump ring and clasp. Cut .014 beading wire to the desired length using wire cutters.
- 3). Hold one end of the beading wire and make a knot. The knot prevents the beads from slipping off the end while stringing the beads.
- 4). Insert the opposite end of the beading wire into the holes in the ceramic beads. Continue until you get the desired length of ceramic beads.
- 5). Wrap the bracelet around your wrist to check its length. It is easier to alter the length before the clasps are attached. Remove or add ceramic beads, depending on the desired bracelet length.
- 6). Insert the end of the wire through the hole in a crimp cover. Insert the end of the wire in the connection hole located on the back of the clasp. Bend the wire around the hole and insert the end of the wire back in the crimp cover. Squeeze the crimp cover with jewelry pliers to secure the wire to the bracelet. Cut the excess wire using wire cutters.
- 7). Untie the opposite end of the beading wire. Insert the end of the beading wire through a crimp cover and into a 1/8-inch jump ring. Bend the wire around the jump ring and insert the end of the wire back in the crimp cover. Squeeze the crimp cover with jewelry pliers to secure the wire to the bracelet. Cut the excess wire using wire cutters.
- 8). Wrap the bracelet around your wrist. Press the lever on the clasp to open it. Insert the jump ring on the opposite end of the bracelet into the clasp. Release the lever to close the clasp around the jump ring.
