- 1). Open the "Pidgin" program.
- 2). Hover your mouse over the alias of the Buddy whose user name you want to show. The user name will appear in a yellow pop-up box.
- 3). Right-click on the alias of the user and select "Get Info" to show the user name and alias in a new window. The user name will be at the very top of the window.
