- 1). Shut down all applications on your computer.
- 2). Click the "Start" button in the lower-left corner of your desktop. Scroll up and click "Control Panel."
- 3). Choose "Programs" and then select "Programs and Features."
- 4). Find the "Update Kb940510" in the list of applications and updates installed on your computer. Left-click on it. Click the "Uninstall" button. Click the "Yes" button to confirm your decision to remove the update.
