How to Hang Pillows for a Headboard
- 1). Cut two pieces of 2-inch wide ribbon 36-inches long for each pillow. Fold the ribbon in half.
- 2). Place your pillow sham face side down on the work table. Pin the fold of the ribbon a half-inch from the top of the sham and 6 inches from the side of the sham. Repeat with a second ribbon on the second side. Sew the ribbons to the shams using a sewing machine.
- 3). Mount a chunky decorative curtain rod horizontal and centered above the head of the bed. Measure the height of the pillow sham plus 8 inches for the height of the rod above the top of the mattress. Screw the curtain rod brackets into the wall with a screwdriver.
- 4). Insert a pillow into the sham and tie the sham to the curtain rod. Repeat for each pillow.
- 1). Place your sham face side down on the worktable. Measure 6 inches from each side. Position a stainless D-ring curved side up so that the top of the ring is below the top edge of the sham.
- 2). Sew the D-rings to the pillow sham using a needle and thread.
- 3). Attach screw hooks to the wall so that the bottom of the pillow sham will be 4 inches above the top of the mattress. Align the screw hooks up with the D rings. Hang your pillows.
